The 4 in 1 bucket looks interesting. The root grapple is absolutely essential for what I will be doing with the tractor. Is there a special setup that I will need to use these?

Thanks.

You mean besides an extra pair of hydraulic connections on the loader arms with the extra controller arm to work it and good strong loader? A SSQA?

Yes. This is exactly what I mean. I am planning to purchase an nx series tractor. It comes with the quick attatch. Do I have the hydronic connectors and extra control arm done by the dealer or is that an after market thing?

Some people choose to source the parts themselves to save money. Some people prefer a ready made custom kit for simplicity and convenience.

We offer the WR Long 3rd function hydraulic kits that are custom to each loader and complete with everything needed.

You have a SSQA, that's a good start. As long as you match the grapple properly, the loader is fine. The expensive part is the 3rd function on the loader. I find it usually adds about a grand. Kioti doesn't offer a factory one, but plenty of people make an after market one. You can have the dealer add it, or do it yourself. Eric the Oracle at least has done it, he'll probably have step by step instructions, breakdowns and videos on it. There is also the debate over true 3rd function or a mere diverter valve, or even running it from a rear remote.

I did the 3rd function myself using a purchased kit. It was quite a project, but manageable. Running hoses from the rear would work, but my backhoe and grapple almost always stay on the tractor. It is also really convenient having the grapple button on the loader joystick.

Probably ranked by cost
1. Have dealer install 3rd function
2. I install 3rd function yourself from kit
3. Install 3rd function by sourcing parts yourself and own design. Probably also the hardest to do
4. Install diverter using loader joystick for control.
5. Run hoses from rear remote, useing existing remote valve for control.

I did 5 cause I am cheap and the existing remote valve was conveniently located. I did extend the valve control rod in length. Easy for me to do the whole thing for about $150.
But not everyone will have an existing conveniently located valve. Or will want to operate that way. Each method has advantages and disadvantages. It just depends on budget, time, ability and how you want it to work.

We supply 3rd Function Kits for all of the KIOTI Tractor Models. The CK, CK10, DKSE, NX, and RX 3rd Function Kits are Selector Kits operated by a thumb button or trigger, depending on the model, in the joystick handle. The DK10 kits are offered as Selector, or Valve Kits operated by thumb buttons on the joystick handle.

Hope this helps.

Thank you all for the great information. I guess I have some reading to do.

here are links to my threads on lengthening the existing control rod, and running the hoses from my existing rear remotes to the front torque tube of the loader. Perhaps you may get some ideas from these if you want to go the cheap way. Of course it would not be cheap unless you already have the rear remotes in place.
