What do I use to unclog sink?

I used to have one of these - it screws to the end of a garden hose.
You shove it as deep as you can - it swells up, then builds up pressure and forces
the clog through by hydraulic pressure.

It worked really well most of the time (nothing works every single time)

I have used those. They work well sometimes. We were working at a house one time and a neighbor came and asked us if we could unplug their drain. We made the mistake of assuming the house had been plumbed to code. We calculated where we thought the pipes would be in the wall, went to the roof and ran the bulb with the hose down to where we figured it would be safe and turned the water on full blast. Well the house was not put in to code and when she blew it blew back through the bathroom sink. The only difference between the way the bathroom ended up and if we had thrown a bucket of black paint all over the place was the awful smell that quickly spread through the whole house. Needless to say they got their drain unplugged for free but I think they still lost on the deal by the time they replaced the towels and redecorated the bathroom.

Here's the rest of the story, part II

Brother in law brought a diesel generator over in the back of his F250 truck. Left it here for about a week.

Power was back on, we disconnected things and his truck was parked in our driveway. He came to get it 2 days later and took it to his home, parking it in front of his condo. His condo is set back from the road 200 / 300 feet and he's alone back there.

Next morning, he wakes up and the truck with the generator in the back.....were gone. Stolen.

We're suspecting it's an inside job and the "friend" that brought him out to get it might be in on it.

What are the odds that some casual thief is going to happen by his place the morning after he brought things home? His place is back far enough from the road that someone driving by with ill intent could still NOT see his stuff up on the hill.

Makes me sick.
