Wonder why Ford and Dodge lowball thier GCWR so much?

My truck can pull a lot more than the GCWR, but why? First, what happens in an emergency when you have to stop or manuever? Second, if you run at 100%+ of the trucks capacity, you will wear it out faster. The design parameter is for continuos use at less than capacity.

That's why there are F450's, 550's ect.

You are promoting gross disregard for safety in your posting. All you care about is getting your equipment from one place to another, being able to brag about excessive weight and to heck with everyone else on the road. That my friend, is SOOOOO Selfish. Buck up and get the right equipment before you kill someone, you are the one who is doing the whining.

but Grub, the dealer told me my truck would pull it. I hear that alot when I talk to the uninformed when I see their F150 with a 32' fifth wheel trailer behind it. According to them the truck "doesn't even know it's there".
