What do you have for a hat? Equipment hats for sure but what else? Let's see.



Idea started with a post of my new Kubota pullover hat that I really like.

Like that hat a lot and figured I'd save myself a trip and order on line. Well, from 3 different on line retailers the cost to ship a 4 ounce hat is more than the cost of the hat! The E-tailers are definitly makeing a few extra $$ on the shipping. I'm not cheap but it a principles thing with me so I'm going to do the right thing and pay my local 'bota dealer a visit.

Sorry I don't have a pic of me wearing it, but this is my hardhat for work. I also like the bomber hats, have a couple of them. The rest of the year, as long as it isn't too hot, I will wear about any baseball cap that I get free from different vendors from work. Some of the companies I haven't even heard of. I will wear a hat bearing anyone's name within reason, but I have a hard time paying for a hat to advertise for someone else.

Found this great sun type hat at a local farm store. For those concerned about skin cancer or just staying cool, this is the best wide brimmed hat I've run across. It's from China, of course and blends the wide brim of the Chinese peasant hat with a western type crown. Whatever it is, it works.

Skin cancer, especially melanoma from sun exposure can be pretty deadly. By the time you figure out that you might want to have it looked at, it's fatal.

I pretty much run one of these Kioti models or sometimes the old dirty New Holland one. But I really like my canopy!

No pics, but I destroy baseball caps with regularity (especially in the summer)... to the tune of 10 or more a year. I like the ones from Tractor Supply because they're cheap and they have a good selection of mesh hats. I usually destroy a Bailey cowboy hat each summer too. No work for the Stetsons...

I have a few Kubota, New Holland Construction and CASE hats that I don't wear to work, but wear just when I want to put on a hat. All freebees.
