I think I have decided on purchasing the B3030 and wanted to get some input on the price I was given. Here's the breakdown:

B3030 with R-4 's (Loaded with washer fluid)
403 Loader with Kubota Quick Attach and Toothbar (Woods or Tisco)
Kubota Quick Attach Pallet Forks
BH75 Backhoe
60 inch Rear Blade (Kodiak)
60 inch Landscape Rake (Kodiak)

Total Price is $25500 before taxes and O% for 36 months is available again until June 30th. What do you think?

One last question.......What size buckets should I get for the loader and backhoe? I can get a 54 inch or 60 inch loader bucket. I was thinking a 16 inch bucket for the backhoe would be good.

Thanks
Jason

Thats a good price.
Get the 60" FEL bucket. You will like the extra capacity.
You may want to add gage wheels to landscape rake. I have a 84" on my B2910 it works great.
60" Back Blade on a 60" wide tractor will not cover the tracks when it is angled. Get a 72" blade. Same for Landscape rake.
16" bucket for BH is a good all around size. I wish I had a smaller size bucket for shallow trenching. You may get a better dealer when ordering a new tractor on a second bucket.
Post pictures when you get it home. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Does the backhoe come with one bucket at no charge? I think that was the option I had when I bough my B2910 and backhoe in 2002.

I took a 16" bucket with the hoe and bought a second 10" which was cheaper. I now wish I would have got the 24" with the hoe and bought a 12" as the extra.

A 12" will clean out better, and for my use cleaning out drainage ditches, and so on, the 24" would be better.

If you need to get into the ditch, 16" is not that wide if the ditch gets more than 3' deep. Then again, deeper than 3' and without shoring you might not want to get into a ditch anyway.

I now wish I had 12" and 24" buckets. I can live with what I have though...have to...a 24" bucket is expensive enough to make me want to buy other things instead... /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

edit: forgot to add that I ordered the 60" for my B2910 but changed to the 54". I think the 54" is a great bucket for the small tractor. I added a piece of angle to the top lip for bucket hooks, and a strong toothbar to the lower lip and no matter how hard I try, I can't do any damage to the bucket. Also, the 54" is slightly wider than the R4 tires, which is good, and a good match that way if you need to get in between trees and so on.

I have no experience with the 60" bucket, but people here have refered to it as a light duty material bucket. This may or may not be the case, but is worth thinking about...

Another B2910 user here - I vote with Bill on the backhoe bucket size choices - I have a 10" and 16" - wish I had gotten the 12" and 24".

On the FEL I have the 60" Light Material bucket with a Markham toothbar and have been happy with it - it's held up well despite removing 400'+ of asphalt driveway, 4" to 6" thick. Only managed to "tweak" the top lip of it recently, unloading a tiller with a chain attached to the bucket hooks. Adding the angle that Bill talks about would have prevented that and is something that I would definitely reccomend. When full of wet dirt, you can definitely tell that the LM bucket is there - it bobs up and down a good bit from all the weight. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

When did they change it from 24 to 36 months for the B and the L?? Is this likely to change "back" within he next couple weeks?

I believe they changed it to 36 months for the B/L on May 1. They have the right to change it back any time so I'd take advantage of it soon if you are planning to buy -- I am.

What they did was to add the 'B' and 'L' series tractors as qualifying for the 36-month 0% financing. Previously it was just the 'BX' and 'M' tractors, I believe. I suppose they could decide to take them off again anytime they wanted, but the Kubota Web Site states it will be in effect until June 30.

Well it looks like everything is a go for the B3030 this weekend.
I decided on the 60 inch loader bucket instead of the 54 inch. According to my dealer who called Kubota on this.... the newer buckets are supposedly made of the same thickness of steel versus the older ones which weren't. I dunno how true this is. All he has ordered in is 60 inch because of its popularity.
I decided to go with a 6 foot rear blade and a 5 foot rake with rear gauge wheels. I have a few tight places along my creek I will use the rake so the 5 foot will suit me better I think.
I am still a bit undecided on the backhoe bucket but I am thinking of just getting the 16 inch for all around jobs.

The B3030 is selling like crazy at my dealer...I was there a week ago and he had about 10 of them....8 on the lot and 2 still in crates. Today he had just one left that he could sell as the other were all spoken for. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
This is a big dealer as well as a good dealer ....but I imagine the 0% for 36 months has helped also.

By the way that started on the 1st and is supposed to run through June 30th.

All I have to do now is wait.... /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif
