RR, oooh, a Bigfoot camper too.

We sold the Foot a while back, needs changed so we bought a TT and leave it at our property. Nice camper though, nearest dealer was in Colorado Springs, kind of far for warranty issues.

Good job Dmace, that''ll make a good hauler plus the dumper.

Is the 7.3 turbo'd or even a powerstroke?

Good question since it could be either. I just got rid of my 94... it was a stroker. Love my '03 Cummins though... hate the payments, but LOVE the quieter ride

It seems lots of you guys have duallies. Here in Manitoba a dually is considered a commercial vehicle, and needs a new safety inspection every 6 months. Need to have a sticker visible in the window showing current safety. Not sure if a CDL is needed to drive one. Are there any such inspection rules in your state(s)?

Insurance carriers frown on duallies with flatbeds. As long as it has the factory bed on it most treat it as a regular truck.

In NY a dually pickup is just that, A pickup. No special license, annual state inspection, expensive registrations, and with newer extended cab and crew cabs trucks can be registered with passenger or commercial plates.

In New Hampshire, if the truck is under 12,000 lbs dually or not, it is a normal truck registration and annual inspection. Once you go over that it is a more expensive registration and 6 month inspection.

Up 'til now I used an 89 F-250 with a 300" 6. It pulled our 18' travel trailer just fine. This year we got a 21' 3100 lb dry replacement for the travel trailer. Then the F-250 lost it's clutch. The '01 Ranger 4.0 liter is being pressed into service. It has a tranny cooler, air shocks, class 3 WD hitch. It seems pretty stable at 60 mph, and goes up our mountain at 45 mph. We have to make this trip, to attend the trial of the man who shot our youngest son. ;-P Wish us luck, the mountains of VA scare the heck outa me!
