That "sounds" like the curl function lines are swapped. On a most tractors the regen only functions on the dump side. If connected to the curl side it effectively reduces the working area of the hydraulic cylinders to the shaft side as it will pull pressure to both side of the cylinder.
This would cause the dump motion you speak of if the bucket was full as the relief valve is overwhelmed then the circuit is moved to normal no regen.
I have no experience with JD though as most brands the regen position is past the normal dump position. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

I was using it this past weekend (without reading the manual) and when I would try to roll the bucket back, it seemed to dump first, then roll back. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif I thought there was something wrong with it. Then I sit down that night and read the manual and discover the "regen" position, which is obviously what I was hitting. /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif I just wonder what most of you use this for, and/or do you lock it out?
