LOL... some of these are toooo funny!

If a man (or woman) can't figure out they need a FEL based on all these uses then I'm not sure they would even need a tractor.

Amazing!

Maybe we can mayke this thread a sticky?

With the tractor being so much quicker than doing things by hand what's the point in hurrying ?
?

Bet this went a lot quicker than using a saws all.

Like I say the tractor is so much faster - so why hurry?
LOL

Sonny, I've got one for you that I've not seen yet in order to have any front end implements you must first have the loader frame and hydraulics. I use the heck out of my FEL but for more fun than should be allowed and not something you want to let your buddies or significant other in on get the FEL and a Grapple rake. I'll post the picture of the grapple rake and you can decide I much prefer the rake but you gotta have a bucket for dirt.

Since my trailer does'nt have ramps, I use my fel to lift my tractor's front end off the ground, then I go forward sliding the back of the bucket on the floor of the trailer and climb into the trailer.

-Dug a 160 ft drainage ditch in back pasture, then smothed out with landscape rake.

-Moved and spead 3 tandem loads of Sand.

-Pull old Fence posts out of Ground.

-Tried installing new ones.(Wife doesn't trust me enough to hold them.)

-Carrie any new attachments from delivery trailer to resting places all over the yard.

-Picked up the back of my truck. (just to see if I could).

-Removed Header in barn, ....Oh wait, that was the ROPS, But I was using the FEL @ the time.

And if none of this seems too convincing...

The stress relief you'll feel when using it will be.

I Love that loader.

I probably wouldn't have gotten a FEL when I purchased a tractor but I got a Great Deal with my tractor and FEL. Now that I have the FEL, I will not own a Tractor without one. So many good uses around my place. The first thing I did with it was unload my 4ft BushHog and 4ft Box Scrape from my truck when I purchased the tractor.

Then.....

1.) Moved over a dozen buckets of rocks from where I plowed the first area for a garden.

2.) Used when I BushHogged the Blackberrie patch to keep from getting eat up by briars because the briars were 8 to 10 feet high.

3.) Speaded 6 pickup loads of chicken manure over an area where I plowed to repair my front yard.

4.) Leveled driveway and widen it.

5.) Bring Logs from the lower forty to an area near wood storage to be cut up. Made it easier to handle to cut up as well.

6.) Clearing sapplings from the woods and underbrush. Along with downed limbs and dead trees.

7.) Scraped grass and dirt off the paved part of my driveway where it grew over the edges.

8.) Brought dirt from the back forty to level up low places and washed out places in the yard.

9.) Brought dirt up from the back forty to cover up roots in my dad's yard where the maple trees had grown near top of ground.

10.) Load up junk and haul off that kept piling up because of the old procrastinating thing. LOL and laziness I guess /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif

11.) Made small fish pond and flower garden for the wife.

Probably many more uses to come up with... especially after reading here. I read a post about a pole barn. I saw the ingenius boom made to use during that barn raising and I hope to get the plans to build me one as well. Keep up the great forum here guys. I have learned so much and I appreciate all of you. This Forum is a must for New Tractor Owners like me. I have operated many for other people but I had never owned one until this year. Below is a picture of my tractor. A Dream come true for me. It took a lot of saving and I didn't realize that it was a money pit for all kinds of implements but with my knowledge of welding and making things with steel... It should be a blast. I only wish I had more time for the tractor. I would love to be retired to where all I had to do is play (Work) with my new toy (Tractor). I would love to be able to make a living with raising produce from my small 7.51 acres. Actually 5 acres is farmable.

Any ideals on making a living so I can get out of the rat race and enjoy living? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Depends on how you look at it.
I have 253 hours on mine.
If I had paid sombody 40 dollars per hour for this work it would have cost me over $10,000.oo & I would have the work but no tractor .
As it stands I have both the work and the tractor.

LB,

Yes!, much quicker than a sawsall !!! I highly recommend YOU try it !!!

Sorry, I totally missed your point in replying to ME with the comment, "Like I say the tractor is so much faster - so why hurry?" If you would kindly expand on your comment/question, I'd be happy to reply. I'm sure that your question/comment and my detailed reply would be of benefit to all TBN participants considering the importance of accidently poking a hole in one's tank house.

Cheers!
