I probably wouldn't have gotten a FEL when I purchased a tractor but I got a Great Deal with my tractor and FEL. Now that I have the FEL, I will not own a Tractor without one. So many good uses around my place. The first thing I did with it was unload my 4ft BushHog and 4ft Box Scrape from my truck when I purchased the tractor.
Then.....
1.) Moved over a dozen buckets of rocks from where I plowed the first area for a garden.
2.) Used when I BushHogged the Blackberrie patch to keep from getting eat up by briars because the briars were 8 to 10 feet high.
3.) Speaded 6 pickup loads of chicken manure over an area where I plowed to repair my front yard.
4.) Leveled driveway and widen it.
5.) Bring Logs from the lower forty to an area near wood storage to be cut up. Made it easier to handle to cut up as well.
6.) Clearing sapplings from the woods and underbrush. Along with downed limbs and dead trees.
7.) Scraped grass and dirt off the paved part of my driveway where it grew over the edges.
8.) Brought dirt from the back forty to level up low places and washed out places in the yard.
9.) Brought dirt up from the back forty to cover up roots in my dad's yard where the maple trees had grown near top of ground.
10.) Load up junk and haul off that kept piling up because of the old procrastinating thing. LOL and laziness I guess /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif
11.) Made small fish pond and flower garden for the wife.
Probably many more uses to come up with... especially after reading here. I read a post about a pole barn. I saw the ingenius boom made to use during that barn raising and I hope to get the plans to build me one as well. Keep up the great forum here guys. I have learned so much and I appreciate all of you. This Forum is a must for New Tractor Owners like me. I have operated many for other people but I had never owned one until this year. Below is a picture of my tractor. A Dream come true for me. It took a lot of saving and I didn't realize that it was a money pit for all kinds of implements but with my knowledge of welding and making things with steel... It should be a blast. I only wish I had more time for the tractor. I would love to be retired to where all I had to do is play (Work) with my new toy (Tractor). I would love to be able to make a living with raising produce from my small 7.51 acres. Actually 5 acres is farmable.
Any ideals on making a living so I can get out of the rat race and enjoy living? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
