Can I turn this around and ask the author what I should get for my other half, I have 2 days and don't even know where to start, she has a new car, she has about everything she wants, she has me eek, we go out to dinner once a week and for lunch a couple of times a week, she has a garden full of flowers, plenty of wine and I am at a complete loss.

Then your expectations are beyond what loved ones can bestow...that's what the giving and receiving part of Christmas is all about...it's not about reversing nature, pipe dreams and fairy godmother wishes...!

Buying for a female is dead easy: pyjamas! Comfortable, one size larger than their regular 'size'.

It's fun, too! I'll wander into a Lingerie Shop (like "Bras'n'Things"), start looking at their sleepwear and the saleswomen are all over me. You need to know the lady's regular size and then go one larger for comfort (other dimensions help too) and they usually have a mix & match selection. One set of flannels and, perhaps, a set of seasonal (it's Summer, of course, so something light) and you're done. They'll even gift wrap the whole shebang.

I know some blokes get a wee bit uncomfortable going into a Lingerie Shop, but I look at it as a "Men's Shop" 'cause a man (partner) reaps the rewards.

Haven't known many women, have you? If she has everything, buy her jewelry. A nice string of pearls is always a hit, and she can wear them to parties and such.
