What do you wish you'd bought?

a 10 acre parcel of land, well at the price they were 15 years ago, I should have bought two. Today, would have cashed out 7 figures. But I was young and cheap.

Of course, more land equals bigger tractor !

I bought my Massey Ferguson 1040 a few years back, a little bigger machine would have been nice. Another foot larger in the Bushog would be nice too...

In reality I paid $6000 for a tractor that was almost 20 years old, that had 1300 hrs on it. I didnt really have the money to go out and buy what I really wanted, but honestly this tractor has done it all for me, so I cant complain at all really !

If I could do it today, I would probablly get the 1540 or 1547 with a 6 ft Bushog ! A few more attachments would be nice too !

A backhoe and QA bucket w/ forks. I know I can add these now but would have been a lot easier to have financed all together. Now I am stuck trying to convince the wife how much I need a BH. I really cant justify the 6500 right now w/ all the other projects we have going on

I've now had my tractor for about 9 months. I love it. That said, if I bought today I would do a few things different and wonder what some of you have to say about the same thing.

What I'd do different if I bought today:
1. Get 2 remotes on the back instead of one set
2. Get a QA FEL bucket setup
3. Get a trailer to float the tractor on as part of the whole deal
4. Get pallet forks right away
5. Get the tires loaded

I know the trailer in particular would add a fair bit to the purchase but I had a pretty healthy down payment and the Kioti financing was zero % so I regret not spending a couple of thousand more right at the get go.

What I do not regret was finally buying a decent sized tractor after so many years of waiting.

I'm with you 100% Charlton John - I wish there was a way to go back and re-do the original purchase again. Each time I tell my wife I want to spend "another $400" she gets kinda testy.

sounds a lot like my wife, the $400 comment gets more than the eye roll these days.

I think I'm there. The B7610 I had before was a good fit for my yard and most of the attachments but, as others have mentioned I REALLY wanted a cab. The B3030 is a little bigger so not quite as agile as the B7610 and the mower and tiller are a bit small for it. Have to watch out for low branches and getting close to solid objects but I REALLY like that cab. When I bought the cab (tractor included) I was thinking about moving snow at -25-30C but this summer we had some +30C days ( upper 80'sF for y'all) and I found that the AC in the cab is pretty nice too.
I might get a bigger mower, the tiller I can live with for as much as I use it. The BH took some fiddling with to get it mounted, still not the best so might have to do some more work on that later. I did get a front mount snowblower and a Landpride scraper grader, that I need to add to my attachment list. The snowblower is still in the crate it arrived in, the subframe is on the shop floor awaiting installation. Have to get that done before the snow flies.

Sometimes I wish I had bought an 84" MMM for my Challenger, but I can't seem to get cozy with removing it often enough to do dirt work.
