3-Point Hitch What does this electrical connector go to?

Hello,

Any idea what this electrical connector goes to? It is near the 3 point hitch on my DK40.



I just bought the 10 year old tractor used a month or so ago. Only had 336 hours on it!

It might be from a 7 pin trailer connector....
And, BTW, welcome to TBN. I'd call Michigan Iron/Equipment and ask them, send them a copy of you pic with tractor model # and serial #- they should be able to tell you for sure.

Trust me it's not the first time I've been called a go ahead. :mischievous: I had a KIOTI LK3054 when I lived in Idaho and never had any problems with it good luck with your new tractor.:thumbsup: +1 what Coyote machine suggested.

Not familiar with Kioti machines but a lot of Kubotas have leads for rear work lights...
Do you have any switches that don't do anything?...if so...you might try testing it with a volt meter and trying said switch...

The lead in the picture is for the 7-pin socket on the back of the tractor. There are Worklight Leads, but they are the bullet connectors.

I see three (power) pins with ground and switch legs...If you are a Kioti dealer (as per your profile) you didn't offer an opinion on what the connector is for...??

And I believe what most think is the "7th" pin is a snap lock for the connector??

MIE IS a Kioti dealer, AND approved advertiser on TBN, as their profile shows. This is a FACT.:confused2:
The female pigtail plugs into it's male counterpart and provides wiring for a trailer connection to the tractor, as I stated/ suggested it might in post #2. The tractor also has a hot and ground for work light(s), not switched, but fused, for owner use.

The small two leg connector goes to the work light. It has power when the key is on. Every factory Kioti work light that I have seen has its own on/off switch. The connector shown is for an adapter kit use for trailer lights. Many countries require the tractor to be licensed and for the trailer lights to work. Being this tractor is sold world wide, they just leave it.

If I was a dealer such as 'MIE' is...and not ignorant on the subject like I said I was (unfamiliar)...I would have linked the OP to the adapter that is needed to connect the pictured connector to a typical 7 pin trailer lead...

The pictured connector has zero resemblance to any typical 7 pin connector...and that is also a fact...!

I looked and don't see any unconnected sockets on the tractor that this lead would go to. Are you saying there should be a socket or are you saying that it is something optional?

MIE is a dealer in Michigan, ( Michigan Iron & Equipment). They should be able to get you part B of part A and B, of which you are missing part B. Once you have what Ozley showed in his pics, (thanks BTW for the pics:thumbsup, you will be good to go to connect a 7 pin standard trailer pigtail to the socket you're missing. Questions?

It's on a South Korean made tractor. It may not resemble anything you're familiar with, BUT it does connect to wiring on a 7 pin socket as shown above, that renders it useable. FACT.
