What features/requirements for a shed?

I was going to build a shed for my tractor first and then build a pole barn later. My wife wasn't thrilled about the idea of a bunch a different buildings all over the property. She wanted me to just build the pole barn and make it that much bigger to accomodate the tractor. I reluctantly agreed and have been working on my pole barn project for quite some time now. Meanwhile my tractor has been out in the elements since I bought it in December of 2001. If I had it all over to do again I would have built the equipment shed I wanted for the tractor first.
