On my old Ford 1710, (2200 Hrs) the 770B FEL suddenly acted up. No matter if I moved the stick up or down, the bucket went up. /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif I finally killed the tractor and could very slowly ease the bucket down by jiggling the valve. When I started up again, it acted the same way. 10 minutes later I tried again and all is back to normal. Has happened twice now. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Any idea what is causing?

Did you pay your gravity bill this month? /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

It's the valve. I like the gravity reply, are we taxed on that yet /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I like the gravity of the situation. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

My combine did that once - well, actually did that 5 times - it was the poppit valve (pressure relief valve) that was cracking & causing the oil to flow in an unusual path through the valve. Very odd crack in it, you couldn't see it - had the tech guy scratching his head for a while until we noticed the problem.

There won't be any direct relation to your tractor, but I'll guess there is some small ding in some metal seal or bad o-ring or some dirt in your valving & it is causing the problems. Most likely not too serious, but will need to be opened up & looked over.
