What happened to Soundguy?

Spoken by someone who has never been married to a stubborn mule

My wife and I are like minded on everything except money. I am a penny pincher, she can’t be bothered with pennies.

We must be related. I manage the money, my wife manages to spend it all if I let her.

Straight claw, curved claw, ball peen, cross peen or soft faced----

On budget---ME
Depends on what is in my pocket if I can afford it (no, don't like plastic)
Left pocket for business, right for personal.

WIFE
She keeps a car log that records ever gas buy, MPG/per tank etc.
Tracks every purchase keeps all receipts. (handy at times)

ME--

Wife---
Almost every cook book published, (I estimate 150 plus clipped from magazines)

Hey, it works for us for over 50 yrs!

LOL, problem is now where is that tool?
and when I find the tool I forget what I wanted to do,

And wife never can find that good recipe either, and then is missing a key ingredient.

Ain't nothing 'Golden' about them Piloon. I spend about half my time looking for items I've sat somewhere and forget where I sat them and like you, when I do find them, I forget why I was looking for them in the first place.

I try valiantly to sequester things in various centralized spots so looking can be a short as possible. I can spend countless hours looking and when I 'find it, I forget what I wanted it for, but the 'discovery' is always a high point for me.

At 41, I am hardly old, but my wife always calls me an old soul. We have been together 20 years and she says I have always been an old man. I go to bed early, typically by 8. Wake up early, typically up by 4. Drink seldom, only bourbon straight when I do. Eat Werthers candy, enjoy Wheel of Fortune, really only watch Westerns-mainly Clint Eastwood. Love old iron. Have no use for politics or overbearing technology. I can usually be found conversing with the 60+ crowd, as I relate to them more vs my generation. Just an old soul I guess.

OK, after a long search, I found Soundguy's callsign, possible address (might be previous address) and two possible phone numbers and possible spousal name. I left messages at answering machines on the two numbers requesting callback to my number. We shall see if any of this brings any info.

His last post here was may 7 2019

I will see if I can search QST SK from may thru present. Will take a while

He hung out here for over 15 years then fell off their radar in June 2019 http://://forums.yesterdaystractors.com/viewtopic.php?t=1405303&highlight=soundguy They might have a lead on him by now.

In searching obits for the towns he lived in and the state of Florida. Nothing with his name on it. And searching QST Silent Key archives from May 2019 till present not in the listings. Of course this relies on the families reporting him. The FCC database shows license good until 2024 so we won't know until then if his license is renewed or not. Of course he could be doing fine and just choose not to renew. So none of this means much, but it is all good news.
