Expensive, yes (just like anything with "AGCO" on it...like "airplane"...), but that's one item I miss on my 2310 -- bet your headlights work better than mine! The 2300 headlights are what I'd expect to see on a 5 HP riding lawn mower...and about as effective.

So I've started planning a relatively simple welding job -- an upside-down U-shaped steel structure that I can mount to the bolts I added to move my Mickey Mouse lights to the inside of the ROPs (clamps, no drilled holes in ROPs). 33-3/4" L-R and about 18" high ought to do it, then mount 3 LED floodlights on that.

I'm a little late to the game for decent lighting, but I look with envy at my neighbor's set-up on his Kubota BX every time he takes it out in the dark!

I did convert the stock gc2400 lights (yeah lawnmower bulbs really) to led bulbs last year, huge difference.

I did that a couple years ago. Definitely much better. I added a couple more on the rops because the snow blower chute or loader bucket would block a lot of the light.

yeah I got a bunch mounted to rops for fwd/side/rev/pto illumination. the stock ones really are used to light up bucket itself when off the ground in normal carry.

MF parts are commonly as much as 3x higher than a similar automotive part.

But, in the case of that headlight, it's actually not out of line from what I would expect a similar sized automotive light to cost.

foglamp assy for 2013 ford escape is larger and holds 3 bulbs and costs 35$ aftermarket. guess what I worked on last weekend...
but thats the issue, no aftermarket for lot of this stuff especially older subcompact (as opposed to compact/normal sized) units.

After installing more aftermarket body parts than you can imagine, I have a very low opinion of them. ESPECIALLY lights.

So, while yeah, it's a tractor who cares, I still would throw up a little in my mouth, if I had to install one.

Dave, what LED bulbs did you use? That might be a good starting point for me -- and yes, Racer4, the main issue is that the blower (and its chute, and the snow stream from it) really block most of the light from the headlights. I've taken to wearing a bright LED strap-on head light to help with that.

It's blowing snow early in the AM in the first part of winter (oh-dark-hundred) where it's really a problem; otherwise, I don't do much tractor work in the dark.

My first GC2310 is 18 years old and my 1725 is almost 3 years old.
I've never needed to use the lights.
What kind of midnight rendezvous are you guys going on that requires that much lighting?

Snow plowing in the evening after work.
I put a light bar on the top of the ROPs for that.
