Much needed bath after 2 weeks of leaf mulching, testing the new Gator blades and prototype chute blocker. All worked well albeit very dusty but normal. Also wanted to clean engine after the boil over episode. Chute blocker will definitely need automation.

Mower deck coming off soon and on with the fel and bh. No snow blowers here! 😁

When I made my chute blocker, I went with a lever, and it has worked out very well.

Photo's don't really show how it works clearly, but I have a short video that does.

Can't post it here, but if you are interested, I can e-Mail if you send me a PM.

Many thanks! I'm going electric and just ordered the actuator. Pretty amazing how many guys on YT have made their own chute blockers. I guess we're just 2 more 😁.

After looking at chute blockers, and not finding one that was made for my LandPride, the thought of paying $300 and getting a "universal" one that I would have to still make work, did not appeal to me.

I have also accumulated a nice inventory of material over the years, which always makes the decision to make my own stuff easier.

Used the LRB to scrape about 3" of soft snow off my steep driveway last evening, using the FEL and no chains...

And learned that lesson, AGAIN, that with OAT of 32-33F, as soon as you scrape off the snow...YOU GET ICE!! (You'd think I'd remember that after 17 years of using the tractor to clear early snow...)

FEL will come off, blower and chains will go on today. Supposed to get about 6" tomorrow.

After years, my wife finally knows what the heck I am talking about, when I ask her what the OAT is? 😁

Is that Outside Air Temperature?

Never heard that term before, but I do like oatmeal! 😁
