This wasn't my mess but it was painful! Shortly after I took delivery of my new F150, I went to a loading dock to take delivery of a new crated Delta Unisaw. The dock was short handed and an office lady said she would load it. I was skeptical but after seeing her move around the warehouse I relaxed. Next thing I know, she somehow slid the forklift off the dock and half its weight ended up in my bed. I probably could have changed the front tires on my truck at this point. The forks pierced the bed and the crate bent the bed so that it just touched the cab. One week old and bed destroyed. I cried.

Did they make it right?

Not too much for me yet after 6 months of ownership. Put a bunch of small punctures and dents of my metal garage as I moved dirt around the outside. Got stuck many times, and slide sideways, in the snow, into my trailer, breaking the one of the lights as I tried to get unstuck.
No ROPS dents yet, but I leave it down a lot more then I should!

The other day I snagged the handle of the weed wacker with the scrape blade edge resulting in a custom bent shaft . Not bad as I was able to straighten it.

Almost, I said almost, forgot to lower the ROPS when backing into the garage. Scared the heck out of me enough that I hope it's now etched in my mind (time will tell).

I saw a lawn guy get his zero turn rops stuck behind a power pole guy wire on a slope with similar results. He was less than excited as it was his last pass of the day on a Friday afternoon and it took him over an hour to get out.

I did something similar with a Steiner (now Ventrac) with articulated steering, dual wheels on each corner and a front mounted mower deck. A lawn that sloped down to a condo unit. Mowing along the edge of condo all you had to do was "slide" an inch or two too close and you could NOT get that thing away from the wall. Turning just banged one end or the other against the wall.
I think I got pulled out with a chain hooked to the other mower once, and (slow learner) once got away by unhooking he mower deck and wiggling out.

Day 2 of ownership I hoisted a bucket full of split firewood too high and dropped some on my hood. My wife was surprised at how easily I took it, but I've purchased several new dirt bikes and am used to doing this.

If it's metal, a body shop can take that out in mere moments. No bondo, no paint but just judicious hammer blows.
Don't ask how I know these things.... :D

Add me to this club...log fell inline with the hood and caved in a two foot section. Punched a good chunk of it out by hand (I was HOT) and then tapped most of the rest out with a mallet and a rubber coated Lift arm pin (I never had need for a body hammer and dolly)

I had my dad running the tractor lifting shingles with the tractor FEL to the roof of the shed I was doing and oops to high with out keeping bucket level and flipped two bundles on the hood... he felt awful and wanted to replace the hood immediately.. Dad don't sweat it first of many "character marks" if they would have hit you a different story.. pounded out the dents and bought a spray can from the dealer to spray the crease/cracks on the hood.. Dads been gone 16 years now and still smile when I see the slight ripple in the hood.. one of the last projects we did together.. lots of character marks since then!!
