funny story...
i have an older porter - cable 1/2" drill
a friend borrowed it and it came back without the grab handle...

i went to a local tool guy...ordered . paid for the handle.depth guage,bolt etc......... ten days later i get a box in the mail....a dozen handles and one bolt,screw etc.....so you never know....

I had the spacer out and was ready to shorten it but after re-looking at the opening for the top link to fit in, it seemed like the gap was about right. Overall, I agree with your assessment, that the blade looks pretty stout. I just haven't been able to use it yet because of this problem, but I'll get past that and be hoping for some snow this winter /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif.

Thanks for the pics of the mower stand. Einstein was fond of saying that the simplest engineering solution is the best. So I think I'll start with your simple solution, add some cross members, some casters, remote servos, a chain saw engine, and a satellite dish. That way I can move it around the garage from anywhere on the globe.

I'll post photos when I get it all done.
