What is a good brand front door lock with "lever" handles?

House in Northern Va. temperate climate. I'd been buying Schlage and Baldwin. The "brass" tends to get pitted over the years and the locks fail after a while.
The present "problem" (10 yr or older Baldwin lock) is I can't wiggle the key out of the lock.
So until replaced I'll rely on the deadbolt.
Looking at Lowes prices are around $400+ for replacing it with something of the same make and probably lifespan.
Critical features
NO ELECTRONICS - No "smart lock" etc.
Highly rated lock
Lever action, inside and out
Good finish that won't start pitting after a few years.

I use Schlage with the brushed stainless finish. I'm with you on not liking knobs.

Our one Beagle used to open the door vs using the doggy door. Amazing how pets are like your children and never close the door either..

Put a tiny bit of graphite powder on the key then slip in in the lock and and work the key in and out a few times , it will be slick as butter,

That might work, except the key is stuck inside the lock already. I usually just spray some graphite in as soon as a key seems "sticky".
But this lock had already become "loose" and was a high-potential failure point, like a tire just starting to show tread.

You could replace the cylinder instead of the whole thing. If you remove the cylinder you might be able to work some lube into it.

I'll second (or third) the Schlage recommendation. That's what we put on our house. The locksmith who keyed them for us commented on the quality. They weren't anywhere close to $400 but it was a few years ago.
