At least the tech has enough forethought to call me and discuss the issue rather than just boxing it up again. I have to give him a high note for that at least and also the willingness to listen to my thoughts about the troubleshooting.

I'd say about 0$ if you imported it from China!

Not referring to quality but simply due to shipping costs.
My main issue is sizing of garments and shoes and they always seem to carry the warning that 'minor differences may occur due to manual measurements'.

Mind U I have experienced a few very honorable vendors that either issued a full credit or shipped a replacement at no charge.

Been thinkin on dis China wranty deal some, even talked to fellow owns dat chinee food place in de village on it.

Chinee products gotta be gettin better and dey sure took over big hunks of world market in many fields. You just try getting round leather belting ain't made in China for example.

Also gotta consider dat WuFlu dey sent around de world. Sure grabbed market share wid dat Wu. Looked at some charts wid my own eyes, Wu is pilin up bodies like cordwood. Regular old Flu 20 is barely on de chart. Ain't heard of no warranty problems wid de Wu either. No Recall.
Like Mom always said, give de Devil his due even if you don't like de result.

Got the machine back from repair about 5 pm yesterday. Hooked up leads to try the stick and it works now. The Tech said it had one broken foot on the front bezel but didnt say that it also had some broken tabs inside on the bezel that held the panel that all the leads and hoses hook to.
I had to take all the covers off to get to the broken part and do some ingenious engineering to fix it using some JB weld steel putty and JB Weld epoxy to fix the tabs an broken foot that had a portion of the plastic missing. The Putty seems to be holding for now and hopefully the epoxy with hold also. If not and the machine is still working when it breaks, I will try to get the bezel sent to me to fix it with.
THE MAIN THING: It seems to work as it should at least for now.

I'm glad you got it working. JB Weld to fix a welder. :)

Pull up spec sheet for JB Weld and for Devcon dat costs 10 times as much. Slow cure JB got better specs across de board. 20 minute epoxy not so good, but it is handy for tacking job up so you can properly use 24 hour JB.

I keep JBWeld epoxy and the steel putty by JBWeld in my tool box all the time. It is good for lots of things. I patched the fuel tank on my LS tractor back in 2010 and it was still holding when I sold it last month. The LS supplied replacement tank went with the tractor to the new owner. Great stuff.
Project Farm actually used it to fill a hole in a piston on a lawnmower then let it run for almost an hour and it held up with no damage.

I keep a similar product by Loctite on hand, along with a few others of their epoxies. Incredibly useful....

One neat one is this instant adhesive system loctite makes. Its name is escaping me.... Used for two flat and well fitting surfaces. Spray one thing on one side, apply something from a small bottle to the other. Can sit like that for weeks if desired. Touch then together and it bonds instantly and stronger than JB weld or other epoxies

Methacrylates are stronger than epoxies especially on properly surface prepped metal surfaces. However, their peel strength is not so good. So if you have very stiff members great... but if the loads will flex the substrate, it will fail before a good epoxy because they don't 'give'.

Yep, as always the right material for the application. For slow cure epoxy I like the hysol E-120hp. I keep probably half a dozen options on hand.
