That's a very nice chicken coop.

You must have skipped over it. I built the building on 4x4 posts for my daughter several years back and she wanted to start raising chickens and that building looked like it would make a fine chicken coop. So the picks were from lowering the building to the level area. I notice how odd it looked when I stopped for a rest and said I have to get some pics. I had misplaced the pics and just found them today. I did this building relocation in 2008.

Anyone could tell that it wasn't done recently. At least, I don't think the hardwoods's are greening up/blooming just yet!! :D And the ground's not all white lol!!

Thanks we had it set up like a chicken tractor where we would move the whole thing every few weeks.

I wish the trees were greening up around here. The rain has the ground so wet I cant do anything. If I use the tractor I make such a mess, I have had some seat time with the snow. This part of WV has missed all but 1 of the really big snows, the only major drop was the one before CHRISTmas.

Pretty interesting photos of your coop and lowering it. Always like to see pics like this as it gives us all ideas on other projects we may be working on. dex3361, sorry to say I am looking at cutting our grass in the next week or two. Have had the warmest January on record here in British Columbia, Canada.

That is amazing cutting grass in January in Canada. I took the pics and thought they would be fun to post.

Thanks for the puzzle. I wish that I had found the thread earlier, so I could have wondered about it for a bit longer. I noticed the beams under it were brand new, and with the debris around it, figured that some sort of moveing was taking place. I wondered about that pipe too, didn't see the cables.

The follow up pictures and explination made it fun to follow along.

I sometimes get the urge to build a crazy house. Upsided down, or uneven floors and walls to make it crazy to walk around in, or rooms on their sides and upside down. I dobt it will ever happen, but then again, something like that little house sticking out of a hill has me wondering about something along those lines. Might be fun, or not....

We had a guy that built a fun house along route 60 in WV.
Mystery Hole
This sounds like what you are talking about. The original owner was a great guy and made his living here. That was before the Interstate highways and this road was busy. This guy made this place his hobby and used to witness to people about Jesus.

I would've said it was the Orel Roberts mausoleum....

Or possibly it was a piece of artwork describing the US economy; here we see this tiny building, humble in it's appointments, diminishing daily in expectations, yet still teetering on the brink....
'nuff politics; I know some people see no humor in political observation.

Another possible use for this building?

A very elaborate "dog" house, for the fellow who is chronically afoul of the boss. Fully equipped with all a man needs to survive one lunar cycle.
Just be sure that a secure locker for the chainsaws is employed, lest the little lady start pulling ropes while she's pulling strings....

My grandmother would have proclaimed the house was being held up "by a wing and a prayer!"

I guess that would have been a chicken wing and the fellow off to the side who likely prayed a little as work progressed.

Great story with photos!
