Hey ya'll,

I have some questions for everyone, especially the dealers that participate on here...............I MAY sell my Mahindra but still un-decided as of right now....

1..........97' Mahindra 485 DI w/ canopy (45 engine h.p.), 1170 hours on original working tach/hour meter, had 879 hrs on meter when I purchased it. SELECTABLE 540rpm/1000rpm PTO, extra fuel, oil, and air filters, operators AND service manuals, ...spare alternator belt, ....complete down draft exhaust system (VERY EXPENSIVE when bought new) (I bought everything for and converted it to a vertical exhaust......I like it better), .....maintenance receipts, .........and a heavy duty home made front bumper.........KEPT UNDER SHED......All lights/flashers/turn signals work except rear work light (may just be the bulb or switch)..........Paint and body is in REAL GOOD shape with a few scratches/small pings............original decals are still in tact and are easily readable.......the hydraulics are very strong and has NEVER leaked down or give me ANY problems for that matter........ seat has NO TEARS or cuts.......... brakes work good but the left one is a little soft......... very few minor leaks as expected with any 10 year old tractor............'new' battery is about a year old but has some type of 8 year(??) warranty with a 2 or 3 year free replacement which I still have receipt on also. Over all its a VERY SOLID AND DEPENDABLE TRACTOR........I CAN NOT EXPRESS THAT ENOUGH..........On a scale of 1-10 with 10 being excellent shape, considering the maintenance I give and the service it gives in return, I would rate it an 8.

2..........Bush Hog Squealer SQ600 rotary cutter - shear pin (right at 2 years old), paint/body is in excellent shape.....Greased REGULARLY............Skids are wore down a lot......needs new ones welded on.......over all in GOOD shape

3..........Bush Hog SBX720 box blade (1 1/2 year old) paint is a little dull, inside blade cutting edge is bent a little in the center...........GOOD shape

4..........Howse 6' greasable disks (probably a year old), greased REGULARLY,
EXCELLENT shape

5..........LMC heavy duty boom pole........EXCELLENT shape

6..........United middle buster...........bought the same day disks were bought..........used 2 times.................EXCELLENT shape

7..........LMC 6' finish mower............ old, but not rusted through anywhere...........new bearings in all castor wheels, new bearings in all blade spindles with one complete whole new spindle assembly, new belts, EXTRA set of blades, greased REGULARLY................Overall it cuts o.k., but wouldn't recommend cutting The White House lawn with it.

***each implement has its own pins that hooks to the 3pt. hitch......There is no need to buy extra pins.......***

I'm THINKING about selling this 'pacakge' because I just bought a small Yanmar compact tractor and need smaller implements and now don't have the use for a big tractor........It served its purpose when I first got it, but now the land I maintain is just 'maintenance'........NOW, my Yanmar does for me what my Mahindra HAS BEEN DOING for the past year and can't justify having 2 tractors for the same job tasks.........At first, I was going to keep the Mahindra and JUST do side work with it........But, I started a new job and get all the overtime I need/can handle.........Therefore, I won't have time to use the Mahindra for side jobs......

I KNOW if I decide to sell it that whoever buys it will definitely appreciate it. Its that good a tractor.

Tractor has been well maintained......Even been waxed a few times.........It starts very easy, works hard and it has NOT let me down, EVER........

This may seem kind of silly, but I would be pretty particular as to whom I sold it too......... I want it to go to a good home and owner and be treated and maintained with respect the same way I give it.

With that said, I do't want to take too much of a loss because I know what I got.

I WOULD LIKE A "PACKAGE" PRICE, AND A PRICE JUST FOR THE TRACTOR, IF thats not too much to ask.........INDIVIDUAL PRICES ARE WELCOMED ALSO....

Thanks a lot for just taking your time to read this even if you choose not to reply.

I don't think anyone but you can put a price on the "package". If it were me, I'd sell the implements separately/individually and sell the tractor by itself. Anyone that needs/wants a 2WD tractor these days is gonna be looking for a deal/steal. Give them the "deal" on the tractor and make some $$ back on the implements (one at a time). Just my two "sense" worth. BobG in VA

I agree with Bob. I don't know what yours is worth. If I were looking for one I'd probably search online for the model (maybe E-bay?) and see what others are going for. Then I'd sell the attachments separately. Perhaps a look in Equipment Trader Magazine would help you determine a price. Selling as a package deal may be good for the buyer if you're in a hurry to sell and if you're willing to take the loss.

I can't believe that nobody can tell me what they think my tractor is worth........I appreciate the ones who already replied though.

No clue on the tractor. It depends entirely on your local market... really meaning folks up to maybe a few hundred miles away based on what I've seen in the used tractor market even if sold through eBay. With Mahindra, it also appears to depend a lot on the proximity of dealers to the potentuial buyer's location.

But in my limited experience, I'd definitely bust up the package. For whatever reason, unless you happen to find someone with exact matching needs to yours (and, if not local, the ability to transport everything in one trip without too much hassle), the package will never get you as much money as the sum of the parts.

Besides... Anyone with a tractor can use the implements. Your potential market for them is much, much wider.
