What is it ?

Buried under 30 years of maple leaves, I found this. Undoubtedly , a tool my father had intentions of converting into something it was never intended to be. Sorry about the poor photos.

Dig it out from under the leaves, and we may be of some help.
The first pic is of a sickle bar (some call it a jiggle bar). The part on the right, can't tell much but seems to involve a digger in the center to do something.

It's all part of the same sickle bar cutter. Less an engine and belts, I assume . A wall behind hay cutter perhaps ?

My guess is a ground drive sickle bar mower. Have seen mowers like that before. They had traction tires so they would't skid.

I can go with Rogator's guess, ground driven. But sure would be great to see it in full, not hidden.

Thanks for all the info. I'm all thumbs, walk not wall. Looks like the sickle bar mower has found a new home, along with this Ford 140

Funny that you say that. One of the dogs found me a new wall ornament.
