What is some of your Pet Peeve's

I never complain about the weather, but I'm going to take the liberty now. The weather at my house has become a pet peeve. For the last 5 months, with the exception of, maybe 3 times, every time there is rain in the forecast, it does this.

Honestly, you see how it looks like there is a big, invisible, force field around KC keeping it clear of rain? Every time there has been rain forecasted for the last 5 months it approaches from the west, then, just when it gets to the state line, dissipates right before it gets here.

I have been hauling water and dragging hoses around all summer trying to keep stuff alive and am SO ready for winter. This has been the driest year I can remember. Doing it again today.

Over and out.

See, look, 2 hours later, same exact pattern, rain area still building west, still big circular area of no rain right over me. Every time. This is nuts.

I am only 4 hours north of you and it has been the wettest summer we have had in a long time. No big floods but an inch or more of rain more often than we needed. The grass didn't go dormant until labor day.

It rained so often that the corn started to rust, which knocked down the bushels per acre. Corn rust, it is a thing....

I noticed rain over central Nebraska and Iowa almost every day through the summer. Heck, I was jealous of the rain they were getting on the North side of town....

Incidentally, it FINALLY started raining here about 3pm. No help for all the dead grass and trees....

My present pet peeve is when they start running Xmas commercials on radio and TV before Halloween. Not much later, the Xmas music will start droning on again.
Good grief, at least wait until Thanksgiving to start pummeling us with Xmas ads and music.
Bah, humbug....

They've had the Christmas stuff out at Costco for at least the last month and half, if not more. The local stores couple of weeks or more, crazy.
My local Walmart has converted Lawn and Garden to Christmas. Local Menards has converted the lawn furniture section to Christmas trees.

That's the hilarious thing. By the time you realize you need something for the current season, it's already been shuffled out, and the crap you don't need yet for the next season fills the shelves!

I don't need a Halloween lawn ornament in August, but I might need parts or toys for the remaining month of swimming pool season!

Likewise, if I know I need something weeks or months in advance, I'm more apt to order it online than waste time driving to a store for it. Stores are only for things I need immediately today, not needs I can see coming weeks in advance.
