What is some of your Pet Peeve's

I interact with people all day, and I enjoy it; but, the cashier doesnt really want to know how your day is going, and you dont really want to tell them either. Its a bunch of fake going though the motions stuff.

I also dont like at work when people bring emotions into stuff. I dont need to hear your life story, your building a dunkin, and I'll never see you again once its done; so I dont really want to hear about everything that ever happened to you.

With that, some of it is interesting, and enjoyable conversations, but gettinf TP at dollar general doesnt need to be like that.

People that have an obstacle on their side of the road and cut into your lane making YOU brake for them so you don’t hit them head on. By law they are supposed to yield. This especially pisses me off when I’m on the bike. These idiots need to have their license revoked.

I, on the other hand, always try to converse with a cashier if they aren't too busy, or there are people behind me waiting to order. Theirs can be a thankless job, and any expression of interest in how they're doing can't help but elevate their attitude a little. I can tell that after a few interactions, when I come in they remember me and I always get good service.
The same goes for waitstaff in restaurants, a little conversation and addressing them by name leads to good service and thus good tips for them.

Another pet peeve. Families in restaurants that have children that behave like wild animals. The ones that irk me the most are the ones that shriek so loud that it hurts my one ear that still works well. I sat across from such a family this morning while having breakfast. If the little girl would have been my child, she would have gotten a whuppin' when we got home. Thankfully, they left soon after I got my food.

I don't think Paul (or I) were saying we're not friendly to cashiers and wait staff. In fact, it's quite the opposite for me, I feel an obligation to do so. But if I can avoid a cashier altogether by shopping online or using an automated checkout, I usually will.

Not everyone cursed with the "people pleaser" personality type enjoys pleasing people, as much as their public personna might suggest. :ROFLMAO:

That makes me so angry. And there are so many of those guys on the roads

Conversely; is it unreasonable for you to move somewhat into the paved shoulder so that oncoming car doesn't have to stop?
I do this as z matter of course, as some people will see how close to that pedestrian they can get.

Depends on what I'm driving. In my truck, I try to do this. In a sports car, forget it... I'm not chancing running over any stray rock, glass, or pothole that are all present and common on the few shoulders PA roads even have.

They are required by law to yield so there really isn’t any other argument or excuse on what they are doing is Ok. If I have room I will try to get to the right but I’m talking about the ones that just jut out in front of you. These drivers are self absorbed ignorant aholes and are going to hurt someone some day.
