What is some of your Pet Peeve's

Never gave a thought to cottage cheese, but watching someone eat an egg salad sandwich has the same effect on me. Had a coworker once who had one for lunch almost every day. Couldn't eat lunch with him it so grossed me out.
I totally agree with the egg salad revulsion. That also goes for ham salad or any other disgusting thing made with mayonnaise.
Also add a pet peeve to all the other "salads", like bean salad and pasta salad. If it isn't mostly lettuce and a few othe veggies, it ain't a salad, in my opinion.

Damn... never knew my diet was a trigger for so many people. I love egg salad, especially if made a little zesty, heavy on the mustard and paprika.

Funny story: About 10 years ago my FIL spent the weekend here, helping me catch up on splitting firewood. He's a super-early riser, like 3-4am, so we were getting out there before sun-up each day, meaning I was ravenously hungry by the time we'd break for lunch at noon. One of these days, he asked if he could quick use the table saw to cut some trim for a project he was working at his house, before we went inside for our lunch. I agreed, and then watched him cut his finger off with said table saw, as I'm standing there Jonesing for a sandwich.

Long story short, I run him to the ER, quicker than an ambulance can get to us. Being a holiday weekend, they had to call the specialist hand surgeon in from his day off, so we had a bit of a wait. Still beyond starving, I run down to the hospital cafeteria and grab and egg salad sandwich on toast, and take it back up to his room with me. I'm sitting there chowing down on it when the hand surgeon walks in, as the nurses are preparing my FIL for surgery. He takes one look at my FIL with his mangled hand in the air, and then me sitting next to him, stuffing my face with an egg salad sandwich and an iced tea.

He just says, "boy, you sure aren't the queasy type, are you?" I just say "nope", grin, and keep on eating. :D

A long time friend was a medic on one of the local FD ambulances for about 10 years. He realized that he had pretty much become immune to blood, guts and gore when after one particularly messy accident call, they went to a restaurant and he ordered spaghetti and meatballs for supper.

Back to pet peeves:

1. Options "packages" or "groups", when buying a new vehicle. I don't want to pay for 5 options that will only frustrate me, and force extra steps to manually turn them off everyday, to get 1 option that I really want. Hell, in most cases I'd be willing to spend an extra $1000 to delete half the options in a given "group".

2. "Signature cocktails". It seems every restaurant has these abominations now. Listen, traditional cocktail recipes have been refined and debated by tens of thousands of bar tenders and millions of customers, often over 100+ years. Don't muck up my traditional martini or old fashioned with what you think is some improvement over all of that past work, because you're almost always wrong.

Here's my peeve... people who don't know what a stop line is for. Especially when they are in the left lane and I'm trying to turn right. I try to stop so they can see past me but too many feel they then need to pull forward, blocking my line of sight.

I'd have to add "special sauces" on burgers, sandwiches and the like. Seems like most of the time they're some sort of mayonnaise blend, but you never really get a straight answer from the waiter/ress. Mayonnaise really disagrees with me, so I like to avoid it.

Tailgaters.
What I hate even more is people who think they have to pull over whenever somebody comes up behind them. My boss is like that... and thinks it's "safer". I prefer to worry about my own driving, and if somebody wants to pass then feel free to do so..

Yep, that one frustrates me too.

When I went through drivers education as a teenager, I think the law back then was to stop 10 ft. behind the stop sign. I still do it that way but it seems like I'm the only one.

The stop line is a little far out for my liking.
