I'm not listening!!!!
My wife suggests I should stop drinking wine. My argument is that Mom drinks wine everyday and she just turned 100 yrs old.
Besides if you're not listening to God then I'm darn sure ... well nvrmnd :giggle:

Many years ago, I was hired as "the bright new kid" to replace the former Director of Development at a tech company. He was a great guy, totally laid back and down to earth, and we became great friends. He's actually the one that sold me my first tractor when I bought the current house.

Anyway, we got in the habit of going to the local pub for lunch everyday, usually a beer with whatever lunch special they had for the day. One day as we're leaving, me in my 30's and he in his 70's, I made some comment about this probably not being the healthiest thing we could be doing with our lunch hour, day after day.

His answer: "My doctor would probably tell me to stop, but I've known a lot more old drunks than old doctors."

I posted this peeve on another thread:

Electronic gadgets charging cords/cables. 😖 And various charging adapter port configurations. I believe I heard that in Europe they forced standards on manufacturers.

USB
USB C
MICRO USB
LIGHTENING

….what else?

I think it's way better today, than it has been for nearly 40 years. There were a few common 110 volt appliance connectors used for everything from coffee pots to toasters back in the 1960's - 1980's, but ever since then our households have been filled with a hodge podge of random different connectors, voltages, and polarities for every device we own.

Now, with USB-C, it seems like nearly all manufacturers are jumping on-board this new standard, heck... even Apple! It seems basically every new device I've bought in the last year uses a USB-C adapter for charging, even my latest iPad. We now have one charging station that holds a small fleet of tablets and smart phones, all charging off the same voltage, and only using a few different connectors. Nice! Only took 40 years to get here.

I buy several identical pairs at a time. Always wool, as it's the only material that I can wear for more than 5 minutes without them getting soaked from sweat. After a while they get holes or I lose one but for work I don't care if they match or not. My feet can't tell the difference. Even if I cared what people think, I'm wearing boots so what does it matter?
When a pair of socks is 10-15 bucks, I'm going to get my money's worth from them.
Must be some really good socks!

It may be a minor thing from back in my school days when I bussed tables, but I hate it when people get up from the table and leave their chairs out away from the table! Makes it harder for wait staff to get around.

Wool. It's the only thing I can wear without having sweat soaked socks in 2 minutes.

Today's peeve. I'm sure others can relate. I just washed & dried my Mustang, then get behind some guy in a beat-up truck and he runs his wiper/washer .

Still the same problem with power tool batteries. Should be standardized like flashlight batteries.
