What is some of your Pet Peeve's

I know you were. I would jump on in a heartbeat if I wanted or needed, but I just have no use for it.
I tossed my flip phone for this exact reason and got a "smart" phone. Texting on a flip phone sucks. My newest, has a "stylist" for hitting those tiny spots on the screen. I don't use it enough though...

Another "peeve": Touch screens in most every new vehicle. It's pretty danged dangerous to have to take your eyes off the road, to adjust or turn something on/off. My Jeep has a few buttons on the steering wheel for the radio and phone use, but everything else makes me annoyed.

What year is the Jeep? I thought most manufacturers were actually getting better about this, after hearing so much customer complaint in the early 2010's. For awhile, they were moving everything to touch screens, but it seems most have realized this is a huge safety and convenience issue, and so most seem to be pulling back a bit on this.

My vehicles seem to have buttons for most or all of the functions I need to access while driving. I guess the heated and cooled seats in my Charger and the drive modes (Economy/Sport/Track/Custom) are only on the touch screen, but those are the only things I access while driving that can't also be done from old-skool buttons. Radio, climate, and all other oft-used things are replicated as buttons on wheel or console.

2019 Cherokee. It has regular dial knobs for radio volume, fan speed and the heat/cool adjustments each have separate push button controls. Everything else is on the screen. Pretty similar to this:

I always have fun with the buttons when on rough roads.
It's kind of like russian roulette.
Who knows what will happen.

That is a nicely integrated screen. ANOTHER pet peeve of mine (dang, I seem to have a LOT of them) is the screens that look like someone left a laptop sitting on the dash.

More Pet Peeves:

Seeing a valuable collectible vehicle that has had a "no expense spared", frame-off, nut and bolt restoration to like new condition, except that they paint it a non-standard color, or go back with a non-standard interior. Somebody expends a huge amount of money, time and effort restoring a car that is not original,
My peeve is that they call it a restoration. Once anything is different from stock the vehicle isn't restored, but modified.

Somewhat on subject, it's odd how many that modify their vehicles, usually just with readily available bolt-ons, calls it a "build".

Of course, not only factories build vehicles, but generally the relatively few that actually do build their own calls it what the end result is. A hot rod, for example, not a build.

That is why my favorite of the "car build" shows is Graveyard Karz. It is the only one where they actually restore the cars to factory original.

Yes, those are for the very most part real restorations, and many could also be called builds I think, since they sometimes start with very little usable material.

Yes, it's their vehicle and they can do whatever they want with it, but I still have the right to be peeved about it.

Worse is you see it all the time on classic vehicle sale sites. Somebody expends a huge amount of money, time and effort restoring a car that is not original, and to me, looks like crap, and they are asking a crazy amount of money to try to recoup their expenses. I just cannot understand the logic.
I wouldn't necessarily call it a peeve, but I do shake my head at some of the stuff people do to classic cars. I suppose they think it's cool, but often as not it just looks stupid.

That seems to have gotten worse this decade, the huge computer monitor-sized screens kind of stuck in the middle of the dash like an afterthought look especially bad. You'd think the automakers would at least try to integrate it into the dash.

I have two 2019 GM vehicles, and the only day-to-day operations that require the screen is the radio (primarily using presets...there are knobs for volume and tuning). There are setup menus that use it, but they're mostly "once and done" operations.
