Especially older vehicles without DRLs. Had that happen just yesterday, deep twilight and someone in a dark gray sedan pulled out with no lights on. Barely saw him. You'd think they'd notice they can't see either.

The auto-off setting on both of my vehicles is momentary contact and defaults to auto if the vehicle is restarted.
Yeah that auto reset has blinded me many times already in the first month of ownership. Working in the shop and every time you turn on the key the freaking lights come on and have to be manually turned off AGAIN.
No problem with normal use but you should be able to turn them off easier than a fuse or connector while working inside a shop. Maybe a "I'm working on it" override.....
As a tech I hate things I can not turn off while doing work and makes it more of a pain
Rant Off.

When I bought my truck a couple years ago, like pretty much every other used vehicle I've bought it only came with one key. Of course, modern vehicles require a locksmith to cut/program the key. Apparently the only way to program the fob part is in the vehicle, key on, engine off. It was raining the day he came to do it, dark enough so the auto-headlights came on. Battery was getting old, and having the headlights on for a half hour drained it enough so it wouldn't start afterwards. I'd gone back in the house to let him do his thing, if I'd know what he was doing I'd have turned the lights off. You'd have thought the locksmith would have noticed, but he was already crabby since he didn't program it right the first time so this was a no-charge callback.
Oh well, winter was coming so the battery would have had to have been replaced anyway...

Secondary peeve, people who don't turn in all the keys/fobs when they trade in a vehicle.

Ok, I am just reminded of this one; stopped dipping a few years ago, and switched to non tobacco, nicotine pouches. Sure, probably bad for you, but I like them, and something is gonna kill you, people like me dont die of old age...

My preferred brand is Rogue, Spearmint, 6 MG. My peeve, you open a can and 1/3 of the pouches are busted open, grit in the whole can. What's worse, you save money buying a whole roll, and 3 out of 5 cans are like that. Enough to make a preacher cuss

Here's one I don't recall seeing here (though I'll admit I didn't re-read all 2,779 posts), E-signing documents. You seem to have to choose between trying to draw a signature that doesn't even remotely look like yours using a mouse, selecting some script font or some sort of pre-programmed "signature". Sometimes not even all those choices. If you screw up and select the wrong one, there's often no way to go back & start over.
The fact that these are presumably legally binding makes me a bit nervous.

I scan and saved a .jpg of my actual signature, but there's not always an option to go that route.
I used to be bothered by having to make any kind of electronic signature, as it's never the same as pen on paper.
However, I figure that if they accept the signature, it's good enough for them and me. So far, no problems from this that I'm aware of.

Get back at them by not buying them any more.
