I have a bunch of downed timber and brush piles that have to be cleaned up and moved for burning. My tractor is a Kioti LB1914 with 4 ft. FEL and 4WD.

I was thinking of adding clamp on forks to the FEL since it is a pretty inexpensive option. I suspect a grappple bucket would be a better tool, but I'm concerned with its weight and expense.

I'd appreciate you thoughts and advice.

I use my pallet forks for brush all the time, however, it would be nice to have a grapple. If you look in the classifieds on this site, somebody is selling an inexpensive "thumb" that looks very handy.

Thanks Mark, I took a look in the classifieds as you suggested? Were you referring to the $415 grapple device to attach to the top of the existing bucket?

They call that tool a grapple rake or tine grapple. There's a thread in the build it yourself section with pix that someone built.

Yes, that is what I was referring to. If you combine this device with some clamp on bucket forks, you could have a sweet rig for moving brush.
