I really know nothing about chainsaw spark plugs,,,
I have a couple Stihl chainsaws, including the MS660 and 029 Super,,
The 660 has been a little hard to start lately,, I figure I would pick up a couple spark plugs.

I think this is the right plug, I kinda like NKG,,,

Do you have a preferred chainsaw spark plug?

Oh, yea,, the MS660 needs a starter rope,, too,,
is there a referred source for starter rope?

Some Stihl down here come with Bosch plugs as OE.
NGK seem most reliable. I tend toward the non-resistor type. In your case it would be BPM7A.

If I'm not mistaken my MS290 came with a Bosh plug and when I went to a Stihl sealer for a replacement the one Stihl recommended was an NGK.

I run NGK spark plugs in two Stihls and three Huskys, and have for decade or two anyway.
For starter rope I buy it by the roll from Baileys or Madsen's. Just make sure you have the correct size for your starter pulley.
If you eat starter ropes up as a casual user, you are doing some thing wrong. It makes no sense to put in oversize rope or wind up your spring too tight.
Starter rope comes in handy for other uses, too.
