I looking at a l3130 with a regular trany and a small peddle on the right side of the operator platform that I think is a forward - reverser . By reading the form here is do not think I want a HST or GST trany
thanks
I made up a rule a long time ago: If you do not know what kind of transmission you need, you need a hydrostat. Because if you do not have the experience to know the various types of transmissions and their strong and weak points, then you need the simplest one to operate and the most "bulletproof" one. And that is the hydrostat.
The little pedal on the right side of the standard transmission equipped tractor is the foot throttle. These types of tractors will have both a hand throttle on the dash or column and a foot throttle on the floor on the right.
I am sure many people will disagree with me.But it is still what I think.

I pretty much agree, for the person who has to ask, HST is usually the best. Those with experience already know. We have crash box, 12/3, synchro
I recently bought my 20th Kubota purchase with one being a gear drive and all of the rest being HST. I hated the gear drive trans, not the B2320 tractor. I can't think of a time the HST could be bad but I can think of lots of times the gear drive can be bad. :2cents:
