M7060 12 speed creeper has 6 speeds 1.04 MPH or less, but that isn't enough selection for OPs application.

Most of my caking is .4 .5 .6 .7 mph.

Where litter is deeper I need .1 .2 or .3 Again all depending on litter depth.

I need .8 .9 & sometimes 1.0-1.2mph where litter is thinner out in center of 40’ wide house.

Think of it as bush hogging really thick tall grass.
The tractor has plenty of power but the machine can’t process the clippings (litter in my case) with too fast of ground speed

How heavy a tractor are you looking for to fit your application?
Both of My JD 5115M open stations without loader, all 4 tires fluid filled, frt & rear weights weighs 10k + lbs & it performs fantastic.

I don’t think the M5-111 open station would weigh near this much ?

I have a smaller open M7040SU, it scales around 7300lb with cast wheels and rear fluid and no loader(mounts still on tractor)

Larger M5-111 might get to 10k with cast and fluid all the way around.

on the M series hyd shuttle, clutching is required for changing gears, the hyd shuttle is used to change directions w/o clutch use. it really is the best of both worlds if a person is able to clutch while shifting.

many here prefer the hst for their sub & compacts. i have always preferred gears, fortunately there's choice out there, regards
Where did you read that? ever since I got my tractor most of the time I shift without using the clutch by putting the shuttle in neutral..

Jrasband: much easier (for me) to shift by clutching rather than grabbing the shuttle lever in & out for every shift. the conventional clutching is easy for me, knees are good. can't imagine shifting the shuttle lever for every shift, i shift how i've always done w/manual gears. plus using the hyd shuttle for every shift requires momentarily removing hands from wheel. each to his own, glad there's choice.

not sure if your hyd shuttle is mechanically or electrically controlled. mine is cable. occasionally (but rarely) the cable stretches & requires adj. another reason i use only for directional change. certainly glad my model is pre Tier4. best regards

I have been going through this same search for several years now, and there is a very unfortunate gap in product offerings between HST tractors which top out around 60-65hp and around 5000 lbs, and tractors with a CVT that start around 100 hp and 11,000 lbs. That's a really big step up in weight and physical size. In between, your only options are manual shift, and a few mixed manual/power shift options. The only thing with full range and gear power shift was the Deere 5R which was only built for a few years ending around 2022. I have driven a couple of them and they are nice, but not the same as an HST or CVT, especially on hilly, uneven terrain.

As noted, Fendt offers the 200 line at around 9500 lbs, so is the smallest available. But so far my interactions with Fendt have been very disappointing. It's been probably 3 weeks of trying to get a PDF manual so I can see what the tractor actually does, how it works, understand ballasting requirements, tread width settings, SVC operations and options, etc. But nobody can produce a manual for me, or tell me how to get one. The latests is that Fendt told me a dealer can order one for me if I want to buy one. I might do that, but I have become concerned about Fendt is other ways lately. There are only two 200s available for sale in the US, and I can't find anyone who owns one. In fact, I can't find anyone in the US who owns a Fendt. I see lots being demoed by YouTubers, but nobody then buys one.

How do you know that? Are they obligated to come back and tell you? Maybe they never had any intention of buying. Its possible were demoing it just to get clicks.

Brian's Farming in Ohio bought or leased a combine, and last I saw it was being trucked off for repairs.

I found a guy in Canada who owns several Fendts and none of them other than the 1000 model will start in the cold, despite block heaters. And if he can get them started they pretty promptly shut down because of DEF issues, and they are constantly throwing error codes.

The DEF issues are everywhere in the winter. The tanks freeze and crack below 10 degrees. There’s a lot of dumb operators out there. They think just because the tractor is new, you don’t have to pay attention to anything.

A recent video was of a 500 series being towed onto a trailer and trucked off for replacement of the main wiring harness because it was destroyed by leaking DEF.
Maybe the owner left the DEF tank over 1/2 full and it cracked, then leaked DEF on the wiring harness? I know other people who have done that.

He loves them when they are working, but he's in the process of switching back to Deere because they never work when he needs them. It gets real cold where I am (-10F currently) so reliable cold weather operation is essential. Now the Fendt 200 uses the Agco 3 cyl engine same as the Massey 4700, so probably different, but I don't want to be the one to find out. I'm just concluding that Fendt would be a massive risk, and I just don't have a lot of patients for stuff that doesn't work.

Perhaps a bit extreme?

Let me give you some sage advice on tractors avoid the internet for advice.
It’s OK to use the internet as a reference, but to classify Fendt tractor purchase as a “massive risk” is untrue.
