Several years ago I borrowed a 3-point equipped mini-dozer. On the rear it had what I would describe as a sub-surface plow. It looked a lot like a long scarifier or cutter from a standard grader box.
In essence you could lower it several inches into the ground and it carved out a tunnel if you will. It allowed yard drainage without digging a ditch. I ran several passes down my hill and it pulled off a lot of runoff water
I suppose it could have been a custom build. I've tried to do this with my grader box but depth is not very deep. In addition if dragging only one scarifier, there is a lot of side load on the 3-point. I'd like to buy one. don't know the name to search for it. Thank for your time

Yup....in tractor lingo it's a subsoiler.

If you had something similar on a dozer it was probably called a ripper.

Subsoiler and when you attach a plow point to it we call it a middle buster. Nowadays the subsoilers are much different than the old ones in that they go much deeper and have trip functions or shear pins on them.

You will need a subsoiler specifically designed for the limited TPH vertical adjustment on subcompact tractors.

Ah, the internet can be a wonderful place. Thanks All! I suppose the trick is knowing where your powerlines and such run 1st :)
I've got a Kubota BX-25. I saw one mention of a shear pin. On the one I borrowed years ago I folded the center link. Had to buy a new one.
Or I guess I could have been an Axxhoxe neighbor and returned it broken.

Yea, on my place if I'm running a 2 or 4 row subsoiler bedder I'm constantly hooking old fat lighter stumps. Some will pull out and some will shear a pin or trip the plow.

Mole plow, Mole ripper.
I first learned of a mole plow (or plough) in a British video about old methods of drying out wet fields.

We subsoil for the opposite reason. It opens up the subsoil layer so moisture can rise during the hot dry conditions.
