What is the "safety bar" on top of the 7320 loader for?

I couldn't find any info in the manual. What is that small bar that's bolted to the top of the loader frame for? It's held on with thumb screws so it must serve some purpose? On a side note, the owners manuals that came with the tractor are terrible...

If it's removable with thumb screws I'm guessing that it's to support the lift cylinders with in the raised position, when working on or servicing the engine.

You take the sleeves off the loader frame, raise your bucket up, slide a sleeve over the top of lift cylinder then lower bucket arms until they contact the safety arms. You can now work with the raised bucket and no fear of being crushed
