What is the story of the B26

The L4060 is going to be more money and of what I can see, the specs of the FEL and BH of the 4060 are somewhat stronger than the B26. The digging capability is something that I am looking for. To me, the 4060 seems like it would be more capable compared to the B26 just by the weight of the machine and the strength of the FEL and BH, but not by allot.

The B2x series are great little TLB's but you're paying a premium for the ruggedized design and extra dirt digging/moving capability. Good choice if those things mean a lot to you; if not so much, the L4060 you're looking at would probably be a more capable general purpose machine.

The 4060 would be need to be compared to the L39.

As others have noted, the B26 is more a specialized tractor designed for the contractor that needs to dig in small areas. It is very rugged and powerful for its small size. But it is small with small tires and not a lot of ground clearance. For example, my L39 is heavier than my Case DX45, but the DX45 with its larger tires and more ground clearance does a much better job clearing snow. The L39 or B26 would not be my first choice for pulling a plow either. The L4060 would be a better general purpose tractor. With the LA805 loader on the L4060 you have more lifting capacity and a wider bucket. The BH92 has more reach than the B26 backhoe and you can never have enough reach. However, keep in mind if you go with the L4060, your 60 inch wide implements will not be wide enough anymore.
