This popped up on a local CL and the seller wasn't sure what it was for. It had been sitting on some property he bought and he had no use for it so he's selling it. It looks to me like it could hold a set of detachable forks, the kind that have a loop at the top that you run a solid tube through to pin them in place. But, if it is, doesn't look like there's anything to stop the "forks" from just rotating around the main horizontal pipe on the hitch? Your thoughts????

I don't think it is for a 3pt. The center link would have to hang off the side of only one upright piece of flat steel.

If you would think outside the box for a moment, all you would need are two small strips of 3/8" thick metal with 3/4" holes drilled in the appropriate places, you would place one strip either side of the upright bar, pin both pieces in, and then attach the top link to the other end of the two metal strips. Sort of like a floating hinge bracket, although, that attachment probably wouldn't need to float. That would not be an ideal way to hook it up, but it would work, and put equal pressure on the hitch pin when lifting the attachment.

I'm pretty sure it's a 3pt attachment though, the pic's aren't real clear but it looks like it could have the 3/4" pins for the side links bolted facing inward.

From the pics it looks as if part of this apparatus pivots about itself. Is this true, or are all parts on it rigid? I've had some ideas but the pics just don't supply enough info. Believe me, I live outside the box!

Hi guy's

just thinking outside the box , but could it be an adaptor to use a 2 point equipment ( for a small garden tractor) on a cat 0 or 1 hitch?

It is obviously homemade...It looks to me like some kind of an adapter to mount a plow on the front of a tractor. The two flat plates are for bolting to the tractor frame. the single attachment point would be where a hydraulic cylinder mount. Actually I like the concept and may steal it for mounting my snowplow!

Can you get some better pics? These are hard to see just what is there.

Looks homemade, whatever it is, and missing some parts.

I'm with Marc's guess.

Sorry, but I can't get any better pic's. This was what the seller put in the ad. He also said he thought it was factory made, NOT homemade.

Could it possibly have a few pieces missing? I remember as a kid plowing with the 8n we raised the plow on the front with cables hooked to the 3 point. Just guessing but my bet is a couple of pieces are gone..........could be wrong.
