I have this on my property and am curious what exactly it is. Obviously, at
some point in the last few decades, someone thought it was no longer useful
and parked it.

Thanks.

From underneath, it looks like it is all attached and that it is a device made to carry something (a trailer). The wheels that are standing perpendicular look to be attached to the trailer by a piece of angle iron like piece.

I'm actually thinking of going back there, chainsawing it out and moving it up to my house.

Question...

The large link chain that is visable in a couple of the pics...is there anything attached to some of the links...like every foot or so?

I'll have to check on the weekend. It is buried a good ways back in the woods and it is dark by the time I get home.

The large thing on the bottom looks like a old loose hay loader. Something like the picture I'll post. It doesn't look quite like the picture I found but it could be a different style.

Actually, was just looking at it closer and it has got to be one laying on its face.
It actually does look like the one in the picture I posted. In the one picture I could see the wooden bars that move the hay up the loader. In the picture I posted the wooden pieces are missing. The wheels look like they could go to it but are bent askew.

Yeah, I think that's what it is...

I've watched some videos online with those old loose hay loaders in action, pretty ingenious :)

Think I'm going to check out how bad the condition of it is....

Thanks Folks.
