Background - 6 grandchildren going through school. Want to try to reward them lightly for good grades
When I was in school in the '50's and '60's my Dad paid lightly for grades. The amount for an A was about maybe 50 cents for one A, double it for the second A ($1), etc for Math, English, Science, History (thus 4 main subjects, .50, $1, $2, $4) if I got them all probably $7.50 max total. Todays value probably ~$75. And IIRC there were 4 grading periods per "semester".
I did similar for our 4 children, but started at $1 and included 1 more subject.

Is this a new hoop to jump through?
