I would guess a grain elevator, maybe a hay elevator (get those bales to the upper loft).
I vote for conveyor motor.If it has a start switch that shorts out (disconnects) the brushes once its up to speed, then you have a motor with high starting torque that will run at a fixed RPM. If there is no switch and the brushes stay in use, then you have a motor with high starting and running torque that will slow down or speed up as load is applied (like an old 1/2" drill, or a starter motor).
