It's under tractor, approximately right in the middle. It is directly above the driveshaft that connects to front axle 4wd. There was a cover over driveshaft that I took off to see where fluid was draining from. No threads in hole. Appears to maybe had a rubber or plastic plug maybe.View attachment 499503

Some Googling on other tractors said a weep hole. Some had cotter pins in it to keep dirt out or from it clogging. For hydraulic fluid that leaks past the seals. Can anybody confirm that this is the case with this Mahindra?

Looks like a drain/weep hole. If nothing is draining out you should just forget about it.

I had some fluid leaking out, which caused me to remove the driveshaft cover and discover this hole. I wiped up all fluid and within 30 mins, the bottom of hole was wet again. Dipstick check showed all is good, so far. I've got approximately 155 hours. Is a little drippage okay or do I have pending doom?

Just about all my vehicles, sans my new 2555 tractor and new Colorado truck... leak something. You should see the bottom of my 2001.5 Dodge Cummins.... or my old John Deere 2240 before I sold it, or my 420 garden tractor.... That's why they made weep holes. Could be either trans or engine oil.... most leaks like that don't actually leak enough that you ever see fluid levels go down hardly any between changes, if at all...

So as long as my fluid levels stay good, just keep working it then. I guess four more years of warranty will ease my mind. Thanks again JerryK!!!

I don't think a new tractor should have any seals leaking. I would consult my dealer to have that seal fixed while under warranty.
