Split loom. This isn't exactly the same, but is the same concept >> Wire Loom Insertion Tool for 1/2 - 5/8 in. Looms

Bingo! It all makes sense now. My wife didn't like the disarray of cables under the computer desk so she "loomed" them several years ago. I didn't see her do it but she must have used this tool as its the same exact color as the loom. I asked her the other day what the device was and she had no idea. Just wait till she gets home from work today and I will remind her.

Bring a few wedges of that B.C. Engelmann Spruce along with you. It makes excellent acoustic guitar soundboards.

It's a device to show your daughters first date and explain how certain things will be 'clamped' if the young man has any thoughts that are not pure as driven snow.

My guess....

Excellent! I had a boss way back that got irritated because a guy was knocking on the door at around 11pm one night, wanting to see his oldest daughter (15). He stomped down the stairs and snatched open the door while in his underwear. Scared that poor kid so bad, told him to come back at a decent hour on another day. I just had to laugh when he told that one. I remember someone telling a story about this guy coming to pick up his daughter for the prom. When the guy got there to see his daughter, the father made him come in and sit down to talks with him while the daughter was getting ready. Well, father was cleaning one of his pistols the whole time he was talking to him. Scared that young fellow pretty bad. The last thing the dad told him as the couple were leaving was, "Whatever you (Young fellow) do to her....I'm going to do to you when you get back!". Daughter said that guy was so scared of her father, he wouldn't even try to hold hands....lol.

Wow, where has this tool been all my life. I can't tell you how many times I have fought to get multiple wires in that kind of loom. I'm going to order in a couple different sizes.

Same here. I have a bunch of the split loom hanging on the wall because it is unfriendly to install.

OK Nelson, the consensus seems to be that the tool is for installing either spiral wrap or split loom.
I can't see how that tool would work for either one. If you figure it out please post a picture.
