See the attachment. I took this pic from Mike Simpson's site (I hope you don't mind Mike). I drew in a "hook" in blue and added some captions. I have this "hook" thingy seemingly screwed in the top of my gearcase behind the fuel tank and in front of the top link bracket. It has a nut (jamnut?) threaded where the "hook" enters the gearcase. Mike has a B2150HST and I have a B2150DT (gear drive). Mike's tractor does not seem to have this "hook", but mine does. The "hook" was made from round steel rod that was flattened slightly and bent rearward slightly on the hooked end. I can rotate (spin) the hook a half turn. It will hit the fuel tank otherwise. I thought it was a dipstick, but it will not pull straight up. What is this for?
