Recently a warning light has appeared on the instrument panel on my Mahindra 3540. It is a yellow light with a picture of a fuel pump underlined with several dots or dashes. I assume it has something to do with the fuel system such as water in fuel. It still runs and operates fine, but if it is something that needs correcting, I would like to know.

Typically it would be an icon indicating water in the bottom of the fuel filter or water separator. Check either or both for a sender with a wire connection at the bottom. Then check for the presence of water within the unit.
