Can someone tell me what "top & tilt" is, in reference to a 3pt hitch I believe.
Thanks

Top refers to replacing the manually adjusted top link with a hydraulic top link...... same for the height adjustment on the right arm of the 3 point..... hence the Tilt part.

Typically, but not always, each cylinder is powered by a separate rear hydraulic circuit.

What is the deciding factor for one upgrading to this feature. Convenience or . . . ?

Hydraulic adjustments for the 3 point hitch.
These should be a factory option in my opinion. Yet it is typically taken care of by the dealer or owner. Once you have them, you would never go back to manual adjustment.

You've sure got that right.;) It was handy for a lot of things, but just wonderful when using the box blade.

I have contemplated after seeing pictures on one of the sponsors websites. But outside of this time of year I rarely have anything but the mower on the back of the tractor so I don't know how much it would get used. It's very cool though.

If you change out 3PH implements at all frequently, a hydraulic top link is wonderful. If you use many different 3PH implements, typically they each require a different top link setting, thus hydraulic top link is wonderful. Some implements truly benefit from being able to change easily their "angle of attack" , a box blade, for example.

Cost is a factor, first, you need the available hydraulic connections, then you need the proper length hydraulic top link and side (tilt) link. It all depends on how often you have to get up and down to properly adjust your top/side links... or would adjust them if they were just a hydraulic spool away...

Having T&T on our tractor I've noticed that I use the top frequently.. not only when adjusting implements on the fly but when hooking up. Just back up & hook in the lower pins then extend the top cylinder until I can get the pin in & then off I go. When we bought our tractor I bought all 3 sets of rear remotes so I can leave the T&T connected pretty much full time & still have one remote open for other uses.

Something for you to think about - I've found that the tilt pretty much only gets used when box blading or using my rear angle blade which I don't use that often. Having both is great but if I had to settle on just one I'd go with the top.

Thanks for the picture - it shows all. I think it may be an option on some new Kubotas.
