What is you thoughts on mixing 90W gear oil and UDT?

Here's a copy of reply to similar discussion back in Aug 2007.

This discussion brought back a memory from Ft. Knox 54-56's.

We had to stress to the men that were learning the proper care of the M-47 tanks.
They had places that required 20W, 30W and 50W oil.
It was stressed in every lesson plan that you CAN NOT MIX 20w & 30w AND GET 50w oil.

What did I hear the other day regarding oil,
"The oil in in Texas but the dipsticks are in DC."

Kubota has used UDT or Super UDT in front axles in lieu of 90W from production for some time.

There is information available from your dealer that UDT has been approved since 1981!

Friction modifiers and other additives make it so.
