When the big gal in the grocery store tries running you down with the grocery cart and says: "Excuse Me" I just sniff the air and say: "I don't smell anything"! It mortifies them every time.

I've done similar and when a snotty w-itch tried to muscle in front of me at a checkout and said "excuse me", I just said 2:20 as though she was asking the time and didn't let her it. She couldn't recover and sneered all the way out. Made my day.

Same thing when I used to encounter a panhandler. I just told him the time and no one ever asked for $$ a second time.
