I didn't go back through all this thread, so if this one has been mentioned before, sorry about that. It was a common saying when I was a kid.

It's been saucered and blowed.

For those too young to have heard it, some of the older generation used to use coffee cups with saucers. And I can remember my paternal grandfather pouring hot coffee from his cup into the saucer, blow it to cool it, then drink the coffee (carefully) from the saucer. So to say that something has been saucered and blowed meant it's ready for whatever.
