Pretty much anything by Merle is worth listening to. :thumbsup: I'm not a country fan but grew up listening to music of that era, and still enjoy Charlie Pride, Bobby Bare, Loretta Lynn, and many of their cohorts.

Merle is one of my all time favorites. I had tickets to his last scheduled concert, with Willie Nelson, in Enid Ok. Merle passed away before the concert, and Willie was a big flop. I did think of Merle a while back; one of my best buddies from Law School was sworn in as a district Judge in Muskogee...and yes, they still fly Old Glory down at the courthouse...and there's a picture of Clu Gullager's father on the wall there. The story goes that Merle's father was from Muskogee.

This past spring we had tickets to see Marty Haggard (Merle's oldest son) but the show was canceled due to the COVID virus...it has been rescheduled for next Sept...a good portion of his show is a tribute to his father where he performs many of his dad's hits and relates stories...hope the show goes on...
