Did you ever see how they built the original Panama Canal? Hardly more than guys with shovels. As far as doing a small job with a big tractor, I sure can think of many that are totally unsuitable for a Caterpillar 6090 FS. Most residential driveways would cave with its 1,000 ton weight.

Fair enough. I first became familiar with the quote when I was in the market for my first tractor. Like so many, I was pondering the question, "How big of a tractor should I buy?" I didn't want to waste money buying more than I need, and I didn't want to struggle for the rest of my life using a tractor that was under-powered for my needs.

Big and small are also relative. Some farmers would think my "big" tractor is tiny. I ended up buying a size up from what I was originally considering and never regretted it.

I will beg to differ... tight spaces using my BH. Had to remove my front bucket to navigate a tight turn just to get to the worksite. I could not have gotten into the space with a tractor larger than my BX.
